This is a beautifully made piece. My grandmother was an accomplished seamstress and my mother knows her way around a needle+thread - so I have a true appreciation for well-made clothing, costumes, etc. I bought this as a Halloween costume for my daughter. Our dog’s name is Watson and I wanted her to go as Sherlock. Well, it was a HUGE HIT! We partnered the cape+hat with a magnifying glass and notebook. Perfect costume. I plan to use the cape throughout the fall for my daughter. I just love it and she thinks it’s cool too!

For Christmas my daughter wanted a detective costume, an "old fashioned coat." I came across this cape and hat that was a perfect mix of "old fashioned" but in a kid friendly style. This arrived quickly and when I opened the package up, it was perfect. I love the quality of the cape, the cleverness of how to style and use the hat, and just how cute this is!
